Card Swap! (For charity. Prizes!!) - Gone Postal!

Well... with Christmas comes gift giving and gift giving encourages "thank yous", so for this first swap I'm going to host Thank You cards!

 

Creation: The swap will be 4 cards (you make 4 you get 3 in return) with the "extra" or "hostess" card going to Ronald McDonald House Southern Alberta. If you'd like more information on how I donate to this charity and why they would accept cards (and crafting supplies) you can read about it on my blog.

 

Each card should be "standard" 4.25x5.5 and NOT include envelopes. All materials should be Close to My Heart (retired is fine) but a little leeway is given with things like ribbon, sparkles and (clearly) tools like punches or die cuts. Stamps definately from Close to My Heart. There should be at least two layers and at least one embellishment... make it something you'd be proud to give to a friend or relative.

 

Theme: While the theme is "Thank You" it doesn't have to SAY thanks anywhere on the card. A pretty "blank notecard" works well as a thank you card as well.

 

Deadline: Since we're all still working on Christmas projects, the deadline is January 21st, 2011. I'd like to have them back in the mail by the 24th (in the evening, so they wouldn't be sent out until the 25th). Any cards that arrive after the 21st will be sent back since the packages are being mailed right away!

 

Shipping: Make sure all your cards are in a ziplock baggie to protect them! Include a self addressed envelope for return shipping but DO NOT AFFIX POSTAGE. When you are ready for my address either send me an IM on Big Red Scraps or you can email me at ruth(at)stampoffeh(dot)com.

 

Postage: If you're Canadian please put enough stamps to cover what you paid to ship it, plus two, in case the parcel ends up being a bit heavier. You'll get your extra stamps back. Remember, don't stick down your stamps! If you're not Canadian please send cash (in $1 bills, so I can easily send back change) for postage since out-of-country stamps won't be accepted at the post office. Metered Post won't work, please don't send me metered post!

 

PRIZES: Yup! Prizes! Since this is a really small swap I'm only going to do two prizes this time. One prize for "First to arrive" and then one random winner (you won't know until it arrives!). I normally do "First to sign up" but... that's me.
